On September 16, 2011, Ron Artest's name was officially changed to Metta World Peace. The idea was inspired by Chad Ochocinco's name change. "Metta" is his first name, and "World Peace" is the last.
World Peace chose Metta as his first name because it is a traditional Buddhist word that means loving kindness and friendliness towards all.
(Because he beats people up and has been to anger management like 6 times)
Oh Mr. World Peace you have inspired me. I am changing my name next year. My new name will be..... wait for it......
Paliza Fitting Justice. Paliza will be my first name. Fitting Justice is the last. I have chosen Paliza as my first name because its a word of Spanish origin that means "Punishment"
My new name is meant to inspire and express my personal sentiments of punishment fitting the crime within the justice system.
(Because unfortunately, I can not torture them myself)
